What is that
first thing comes to your mind when you listen to music - any music?
For me, it has
always been that beautiful, soothing feeling leading me to another world of my
own. Listening to music eases my pain, boosts my energy - fuelling me for the
day.
Music also
helped me a lot during the times when I was feeling a little low. On one
occasion, after listening to some lively, energy-boosting music, I came to know
that the artist who performed was also feeling low at that time, but used the
gloom to create motivational music to uplift the spirit of others.
Everyone has
their favorites on their playlist which they listen over and over again. But
sometimes I try some new genre in order to explore how music has touched
different cultures or is influenced by it. I am glad I did, because I heard
some of the best music which I had not listened before.
My foray
into music also extends to playing music instruments such as flute, guitar, and
mouth organ to name a few. Though, most of the instruments are really difficult
to master at first, dedicated practice helps and daily rehearsals will work
like a charm. I discovered that it’s not just listening to but also playing music
instruments that can help gain inner peace.
Our Vibgyor Yelahanka Band epitomizes all this.
